Game Modes

The game will consist of a few different modes, quick play, championship journey, challenge mode, and Tutorial mode allowing the players to play locally or against AI.

Quick Play

This mode allows players to quickly setup a match and get into a game as fast as possible. The players will first be able to select home or away. Once that has been selected each team will choose their captain. Finally the players will be able to choose the 2 teammates that will complement their chosen captain. Once both sides have chosen their teammates the players will be able to vote on which arena they would like to play in. Once all the choices have been made, players can make any changes to the default settings if needed. Once those settings are decided on, the game will start.

Championship Journey

The Championship Journey will have multiple leagues. Each league will have a regular season that the player must complete and finish in a qualifying spot in order to qualify for the playoffs. The scoring system for the season will consist of wins, losses, and overtime losses. The amount of games to play in the playoff will depend on the league. The lower leagues will require less games to qualify thus, they will have less teams in the playoffs. For example, League 1 will have 6 total teams and only 4 will make it to the playoffs. If the player fails to qualify for the playoffs they will have to restart the league and try to qualify for the playoffs again. By winning the championship, the player is promoted to the next league. As the player progresses through the leagues, the games will become harder to win.

When the player beats a league for the first time, they will unlock the league champion team. The team will then be available to select in the character selection thus creating additional playable characters. Upon completion of all leagues, the player will have the option to restart the journey at the highest difficulty or restart at the lowest difficulty.

Challenge Mode

This mode will help players hone their skills while in various predicaments (ranging from being down 2 goals with little time remaining to winning a game with no items available). There will be a total of 10 challenges to beat. Each challenge will increase in difficulty, with the last challenge being the ultimate test for players to overcome.

Challenge 1 – Overtime Winner!

Objective: Score before the opposing team to Win!

Challenge 3 – Three V Three me bro!

Objective:  Win the game by at least 2 goals

Challenge 4 – Shutout!

Objective:  Win the game and post a shutout.

Challenge 5 – All Skill, No Luck!

Objective:  Win the game with no items

Challenge 6 – No Captain Needed.

Objective:  Win the game with no captain

Challenge 7 – Comeback Champs!

Objective:  Win the game by at least 2 goals

Objective:  Win the game by at least 3 goals with no items

Challenge 9 – Three V Three, No Items!

Objective:  Win the game by at least 4 goals and post a shutout

Tutorial Mode

This mode will teach players the basics of the game. The tutorial will have three different stages. Basic Controls, Captain Power Ups, Item Controls.

Basic Controls – will step through how each control works in the game.

Captain Power Ups – will step through how to use the first 6 captain’s skills.

Item Controls – will step through how to use every item in the game.
